Many, Others & Some (in honor of February 17th 2014)

Many are temporary While others last a lifetime Some are draining While others refresh the soul Many are only acquaintances While others stay long enough to become family Some impact you for a season While others become guardians of your heart Many will make promises they can't keep While others create covenants that God will seal deep Some will stay for their own reason While others fight battles alongside you ensuring your victory Many will break your heart While others help you heal by doing their part Some will only point out what they wish to change While others stick so close that it is nearly impossible to pull you apart Many were never meant to be this close While others know the treasures inside you & proudly let you glow Some will instill insecurities that you didn't know While others will seek God to know you & live in overflow Many are the moments that will mark you for a lifetime, not because of what happened but because of the people who were present in them. As time passes those are the "others" I'll never forget. Those are the lives which my heart calls friends.
